A Home on the South Carolina Coast!

Home on a Barrier Island on the Coast of South Carolina
This homeschooling family of four have lots to see and do!

"We feel like we are always on vacation at home!

On a very small barrier island, our house is comfortable but not luxurious, a very typical older beachy home with deck. Large child friendly yard, with swings, sandbox & a trampoline (with safety net), heated pool with kiddie area and attached spa, and shaded sitting area.

Beach is 3 short blocks away, & Center St. is 1 block, where the shops and restaurants are located, & walking distance to the public boat landing. Close to public tennis court, basketball court and playground. Public fishing & crabbing on the river & pier. Only a 20 minute drive to downtown Charleston with lots to do and see, for adults and children.

Our little island is its own town, one main street mostly restaurants, beach/surf shops & realtors. Many houses are vacation rentals. Lots of surfing! The public deep water boat landing is walking distance, giving access to the river and marsh creeks; great fishing and views from the Pier; a public tennis court and playground. In Charleston...museums, galleries, fine dining, historic sites and plantations, the SC Aquarium, children's activities, riding, the Charleston Tea Plantation, dining cruises & more."
